Plus Vibes (M) Sdn Bhd ("PlusVibes," or “Company”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy"). The Company operates the Platform https://www.plusvibes.com, and mobile applications called “PlusVibes - Support & Motivate” and “PlusVibes - Vibers” with links to these Terms of Use (collectively, the “Platform” or “PlusVibes”).

As a user of this Platform or our services, this privacy policy (“Policy”) outlines what information we may collect about you, how we use and share that information, how you may access your information and your choices about the use and disclosure of your information.

GENERAL

By using these Platforms, you agree to the following:

  • You will not reveal your personal identity (i.e. full name, phone number, email address or other identifiable information).

  • You will not ask for a user or Viber's personal identity (i.e. full name, phone number, email address or other identifiable information).

  • You will not share, screenshot or distribute conversations conducted on the Platform.

 

In addition, users who engage with features such as AI Maddy, the Mood Tracker, that these tools are intended for private and personal use. All entries made using these features are securely stored and visible only to the user unless voluntarily shared. The Company does not manually review user content submitted through these tools unless legally required or in cases concerning user safety.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not collect any personal information except during app sign-up where we just need email address, age, gender, country and state, however the username is anonymous / pseudo name. 

 

If you provide any personal information relating to a minor, you warrant that you are the parent or legal guardian of such minor and have the necessary authority to provide such information and the applicable consents.

 

While the provision of personal information is not obligatory, it is required in connection with the purposes as stated below, and if we do not have this information, we may not be able to carry out the purposes or provide our services to you.

 

In addition to the above, we may collect certain wellness-related information when you choose to use the self-guided tools on the Platform. These include mood ratings and behavioural patterns (such as frequency of use). This information helps personalise your experience and improve service recommendations within the Platform. These features are completely optional, and you may choose whether or not to use them.

COOKIES, ANALYTICS AND AUTOMATIC COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

The Company does not collect cookies through its Platform. Your preferences are obtained through information that you have disclosed. This information will be used for analysis purposes to help us improve the user experience. We may use and disclose aggregated and anonymised statistics about usage of this Platform or our services. If you enrol via an employer, general aggregated data and engagement information will be shared with your employer.

 

Such aggregated data may also include non-identifiable usage insights from features such as mood tracker, motivational content and self-care tools. This data will never include your private entries or messages and will not be used for advertising purposes.

 

Use of Personal Information

We may use your personal information for any of the following reasons:

  • To provide services or to perform any of the Company’s obligations towards you;

  • To process, manage or verify your request or application for any services;

  • To validate and/or process payments, rebates, refunds and charges;

  • To send you alerts, updates, mailers, promotional materials and the like from the Company, our partners, advertisers or sponsors and to communicate with you about services/products that may be of interest to you from us, partners or other third parties;

  • To facilitate or enable any checks as may be required;

  • To manage our business and for internal purposes (such as auditing, data analysis, database records, evaluating our services and effectiveness of our marketing efforts, research and risk management);

  • To comply with legal and regulatory requirements;

  • To enforce our legal rights or obtain legal advice;

  • To perform functions described at the time of collection of the personal information;

  • To respond to questions, comments and feedback from you;

  • To communicate with you for any of the purposes listed in this Policy;

  • To personalise your experience with self-care tools such as the mood tracker, motivational content, modules and assessments, and AI-Maddy chatbot, based on your in-app engagement. 

  • For any other purpose that is ancillary to or in furtherance of these above purposes or which is required by law or any regulatory authorities or where we have your permission to do so.
     

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

In connection with the above use of your personal information, we may disclose such personal information to the following:

  • Medical or healthcare practitioners, or psychiatrists as defined in the Mental Health Act 2001, professionals and service providers, agents, contractors, third party service providers who provide various services or facilities to us in connection with this Platform, our business or operations or who have contractual arrangements with us;

  • Partners with whom we have a relationship in connection with your transaction with us or your requested services.
     

Certain registered counsellors or psychiatrists or medical practitioners or healthcare providers/professionals may require your express consent or submission of certain information or documents in connection with the provision of services to you. If so, you will be requested to provide such express consent, forms or information (as the case may be) in order to proceed with the provision of the services.

 

Please note that certain services may require your express consent or the submission of specific information or documents. You will be notified and asked to provide consent if required. 

 

Important: PlusVibes will never share your messages from “Chat with Vibers,” conversations with Ai-Maddy, mood tracker logs, or any other sensitive in-app content with any external parties, employers, or therapists without your explicit consent, unless required by law.

 

THIRD PARTY OF PLATFORMS OR PROVIDERS

Through the Platform and/or the services, you may obtain access to certain third parties such as psychiatrists or medical or healthcare practitioners, professionals or providers and other portals or applications. The privacy policies/personal data protection notices of such third parties are independent from that of PlusVibes and you should review such policies/notices carefully as the use of information disclosed to such third parties is subject to such policies/notices.

 

Our Platform may contain links to and from the portals, apps or resources of our partners, advertisers and other third parties. If you follow a link to or access any of these websites or resources, please note that they have their own privacy policies/data protection notices and terms of use which you should review. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for these websites or resources and your access and use of them is at your own risk.

 

RESEARCH POLICY

PlusVibes may use and disclose aggregated and anonymised data about usage of this Platform or our services. Such disclosure may be used to educate, research or analyse mental health concerns and causes. In conducting the research, PlusVibes may use an external party or vendor to compute the data. PlusVibes strictly does not reveal any personally identifiable information.

 

This may include de-identified usage patterns from features such as the Mood Tracker, the modules and assessments, and self-help content tools. These insights may help improve our platform, shape mental health programs, and contribute to research collaborations with mental health institutions or universities.

 

CHAT POLICY 

The Company provides chat services where users can connect with Vibers or engage with Ai-Maddy for real-time support. All conversations are processed live and are not reviewed or accessed by the Company.

 

Messages sent via “Chat with Vibers” are stored in cloud storage only while the chat remains active. Once a user manually ends the conversation, the messages are automatically deleted from the cloud and are no longer retrievable.

 

If the user does not end the session, the chat becomes inactive but will remain in the user’s inbox. This allows the user to reactivate the chatroom with the same Viber at a later time, which will deduct one session from the user’s remaining chat count.

 

Conversations are not stored beyond the active session period and cannot be accessed by the Company after they are ended.
 

OPTING OUT

Users can delete their accounts at any time by going to Settings > Delete Account. Additionally, users may choose to disable push notifications through their device settings. However, please note that turning off notifications means you will no longer receive important updates such as therapy session reminders or messages from Vibers when using the Chat with Vibers feature.

 

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

PlusVibes takes necessary security and technical measures to protect the confidentiality and integrity of your personal data in compliance with applicable laws. We strictly adhere to international standards, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). All payment information, such as credit card and bank account numbers, is securely transmitted using encryption technologies like SSL (Secure Socket Layer). We remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of data protection through continuous system monitoring and enhancements. In addition, all interactions within the mood tracker, modules and assessments, and Ai-Maddy chatbot are encrypted and protected using industry best practices. No staff member, partner, or third party can view this information unless explicitly shared by the user or required by law. 

 

CHECKING AND UPDATING YOUR DETAILS AND PASSWORDS

If you wish to access, verify or correct any of your personal information, you may do so by contacting us via the contact details below. Our security procedures mean that we may request proof of identity before we reveal information or carry out the requests. This proof of identity may take the form of your username/e-mail address and password submitted upon registration (so far as applicable). Therefore, you should keep this information safe as you will be responsible for any action which we take in response to a request from someone using your username/e-mail and password. If you have an account with us, you can also update your personal information by accessing your account. You undertake to keep safe and not disclose to third parties your account information, including passwords. We are not responsible for any misuse or disclosure of access information or passwords. Please contact us if any of your personal data subsequently becomes outdated, inaccurate or incomplete to help ensure the accuracy of the data in our records.


CHANGES TO THE POLICY

We reserve the right to modify and change this Policy from time to time, without prior notice. Any changes to this Policy will be published at this Platform and your continued use of the Platform or our services will constitute your acceptance of the modified Policy. If there are any inconsistencies between this Policy and the terms and conditions of the services we provide to you, the latter shall prevail.
